The school year is filled with Performing Arts events.  From our annual Christmas Concert featuring our Chorus and Band, our award-winning Winter Musical and Spring Drama and Cabaret Knight, the Inserra Theater is in constant "show mode".

Musicals at St. Joe's are nationally recognized and critically acclaimed as among the best in the area.  The shows are cast by audition with parts for actors, singers, dancers, and stage crew.  Talented girls from surrounding high schools join the young men of SJR on the stage each year, making our shows one of the best ways to make new friends.  Players on the SJR stage train with Broadway professionals each year in singing, acting, choreography, makeup, costuming and stage combat.

SJR productions include BRIGHT STAR, LES MISÉRABLES, the high school debut of MISS SAIGON, CURTAINS, FIDDLER ON THE ROOF, CABARET, WEST SIDE STORY and more.  Dramas/Small Musicals include SPELLING BEE, IS HE DEAD?, A FEW GOOD MEN, LEND ME A TENOR, RUMORS and more.

SJR also offers opportunities to join the SJR Chorus for performances at liturgies, concerts, malls, nursing homes, and local parades.  Students who play instruments may be interested in the SJR Band.
